ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES

2019 // Cash

‘Cash’ is a print on brushed aluminium six-piece puzzle that tells the story of an imminent war.
A culture of greed for money and power fueled the most urgent crisis facing humanity—the man-made climate change. World leaders are acting like toddlers, making all the wrong decisions for the planet. As natural disasters are becoming bigger and more frequent, a real class war will happen. This will be the biggest fight of our lives, but this time even the 1% will lose.

2018 // Romanian Design Week // Hehehe
Is the Hehehe newspaper fake news or credible journalism? Hehehe imagines a scenario when trash-journalism starts adopting the visual language of legitimate journalism to give a 'truthiness' quality to their print news.

2017 // PLAY&REWIND 2.0 @ VIENNA DESIGN WEEK // 11, 22, 33

2017 // PLAY&REWIND 2.0 @ VIENNA DESIGN WEEK // Earth, Fire, Wind, Water

2017 // Swallow
Cutlery is the latest discovery in the realm of fine dining. When we imagine an ideal meal, we first launch into the habit of admiring and indulging into the visual arrangement of food on the plates, completely ignoring the cutlery. But recent studies show that cutlery does have a significant impact on the meal experience as they alter our perceptions of taste: for example, we commonly associate silver spoons or heavy cutlery with high-quality food and perceive foods as saltier when eaten with a knife. 'Swallow' highlights the importance of cutlery in the whole fine dining experience. The illustrations represent a set of 4 silver-foil utensils sitting on classic dishes in heavily contrasting colors.

2016 // EXIT
Exit has the effect of a visual vertigo. Geometric hieroglyphs challenge the viewers to test their perceptions of how much a line can convey. Each time they open the book, readers are invited to decipher the hieroglyphs with fresh eyes and just like that create a new language. The possibilities are endless.

2015 // Day, letterpressed cards
This collection of letterpressed cards is meant to be a weekly calendar. Custom crafted letters beautifully illustrate each day of the week; the 3 letters that are repeated – D,A,Y – create a full clockwise rotation throughout the designs, suggesting the passing of time, whereas the letterpress creates a crisp impression of the designs.

2015 // Natural Nutrition, packaging
Packaging with a vintage look and feel for a new range of natural and hand made skin care products. The design is simple and centered around 2 major factors, color and typography, achieving a stand-up appeal while communicating honesty and clear intent to consumers.

2015 // PLAY&REWIND EXHIBITION // 11, 22, 33, print on canvas
Imagine 3 keepsake boxes with bits and pieces of the designer's childhood that he opens when reaching 33 years old and puts them on 'canvas'. Each box represents each 11-year period of his life. Here is showcased the 1st box – part of a series of 3 – which holds precious memories from the artist's first 11 years of life: favorite toy car, a picture of his family favorite food at social occasions, his kite, first video game and so on.
The t-shirt compresses all 33 memories into one single frame.

2015 // PLAY&REWIND EXHIBITION // Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, 52 playing cards & 2 jokers
Fun at any age, cards encourage people of all walks of life to interact, engage and share positive social experiences. When on top of this cards are beautiful and intriguing, they improve the players' aesthetic sense, pleasure and experience and up-lifts their spirit. This custom design is meant to bring new playfulness to the classical four-color deck, turning to nature for inspiration. The four suits find their meaning in nature – green in the earth, red in the fire, black in the wind and blue in the deep pure water, each one illustrating a different experience on playing outdoors, with natural elements.

2014 // Mental, screen print
Inspired by the diversity of the city, Mental is meant to be consumed and shared in bars, coffee shops, and teahouses. Its friendly format makes it liable of stirring social interactions.

2014 // Feldspar, vinyl cover
The cover design was inspired by the record's name, Feldspar, which is an essential group of minerals that make up 60% of the Earth's crust.
On the cover the Feldspar chemical structure is illustrated by the minerals’ zigzag paired chains. For the vinyl, different shades of gray are randomly mixed to create a mineral texture; each piece of vinyl is differently colored thus exploring the richness of the album's glitchy, abstract sound.

2013 // Rainbow, 7 stamps
Minisheets and stamps for each color of the rainbow. 7 perforate minisheets, 7 stamps

2013 // Strip, comics book
A new concept  of comics - the balloon-narrative style

2013 // Bid, gold ink, offset on heavy black paper
64 characters placing their bids at  the diamond auction
