ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES

2018 // Triptonus - Sprout
The main purpose of this EP was to create a story that takes place before the Triptonus album that we made 2 years ago, a story about the Druid´s birth, his early stages in life, and what drove him mad. As you unfold the digipak, the story develops, thus leading the viewer to see the panels as a whole.

The exterior panel shows the Druid emerging from deep underground through many layers, all the way to the surface - his actual birth, as he takes his first breath and the sprout opens, to his first interaction with the world, by reaching and grabbing his future staff.

The interior cover shows the druid climbing some steps, with all sorts of curious critters around him. This whole cover is built as a scene in which the Druid is the main actor, the steps are the stage and the hidden creatures are the curious spectators. At the end of the stairs there is a gate that will await the Druid with future adventures.
The CD shows the Druid fetus resting in his seed, just before his birth .

2017 // Freenetik Party 2017
The people from Freenetik Party contacted us yet again to work on an image for one of their events in April 2017. We thought of something more narrative this time, a short story that shows a very skilled mechanic and one of its recent creations, a „Desert Scavenger”, cruising around the lands and stopping every now and then to reflect and gaze at the simple and small wonders that the world has to offer. Original artwork was made on an A3 hard paper with ink, acrylics and black ballpoint pen.

2017 // Haywire Festival
The people behind Haywire Booking started an annual rock festival in Timisoara, called Haywire Festival. Bands from different corners of the world gathered here to participate in one great event. All was set, but the people from Haywire Booking needed an image. Then we were contacted to take care of that part, to build the image of the first edition of Haywire Festival, and by image we mean the whole package: the poster artwork, the T-shirt design, limited edition tickets, badges, bracelets, flyers and Facebook covers. The organizers gave us the liberty to do whatever we wanted as an artwork with only one condition: the concept should include a harmony between nature and technology if possible, and if it would help us in any way, we could look to the names of the participant bands for further inspiration. And so, the concept behind the artwork shows the embodiment of the symbiosis between nature and technology, the „Mother-ship” - a female character rowing her boat across the sea and keeping several connections with both the natural and artificial aspects of the world.

2016 // Lit Birds
Having the same name as the song composed and played by “Implant Pentru Refuz”, “Lit Birds” - the comic book, is made to illustrate in a personal way the mood that both the melody and the lyrics inspire. The story behind “Lit Birds” begins with a small desolated city, floating somewhere in the vastness of the galaxy. The town’s inhabitants have been imprisoned by a group of hateful beings known as “Specters”. Outside of its world, located at the bottom of the floating city, an old man has had enough of the Specters’ reign and calls for “Lit Birds” to put a stop to them.

2015 // Suferar
The magnificent city of Ziluvitah has not been the same ever since it survived a star collision. Particles of the star known as Suferar have spread everywhere throughout the town and have contaminated its inhabitants. The daylight itself has fallen into a deep sleep, as did many of the residents. Others are struggling and hoping for the Bronze Days to reappear. The collision has also caused the city to split into many sectors and has given birth to strange, yet curious sponge beings who have multiplied exponentially. They have been drying the ocean and the city canals where they have been seeking refuge. On their way towards adventure, Phoebe and Sprinkler, two so called super-heroes stumble upon the sponge folk in the most critical time of their lives. Being threatened by extinction because of constant attacks from the rat armies, the sponge folk are helped by our two adventurers in their great battle for survival.
