ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES

2019 // The Ping Pong Series

This series is a visual research on the game that has gained much popularity in recent years: ping-pong. From the park to the corporate office, table tennis is one of the most loved forms of exercises. It trains the brain as well as the body in a relaxed, casual manner.
The ping pong pallet becomes, in these illustrations an extension of the human body, sometimes the hand, sometimes the leg or even the head, exposing it as a game for the whole body.

Illustrated using simple yet humorous forms, the series is designed to appeal to active participants and casual players.
The choice of colors follows on the simple, direct way line and form were used, adding bold splashes of red on a mostly bright palette.

2019 // MEH zine
MEH zine, the photographic sketchbook is a recurring publication among friends. It contains collective memories centered around places in a pocket-size format. Each volume/episode presents a place or an event from the pictures of those present.
Being there and taking pictures is the basis of being in the MEH collective.

Steps for the project: participating in an event, taking pictures, gathering pictures from different people into one place, selection (only 32 make it into each zine), posting it online, assembling the layout, printing (mostly at home), spreading the new issue among friends.
The size and number of pictures (32) is determined by the format of the paper used. Each MEH is printed on a single A3 paper folded, cut and stapled to reach an A7 format.
