HISTORY
EFdeN is a non-profit organization established in 2013 and its main objective is to shape the young professionals. The organization’s main directions are education through practice and development of sustainable housing and products. This approach will result in social awareness regarding responsible use of resources, the environmental impact that the population has and how it affects the way of living.

2019 // EFdeN Signature
EFdeN Signature is a sustainable house, designed for Middle East, potentially adaptable for Romania, by a multidisciplinary team of students.
In order to repond to climate conditions, intense solar radiation and sandstorms, the house has multiple envelopes, like a cell’s structure, along with transitional spaces. The facade was designed by drawing inspiration from oriental shading elements, also named “mashrabiya”, and romanian traditional models.
EFdeN Signature connects people with nature by creating a multi-sensory experience through the use of dynamic and diffuse daylight, natural colors and textures and large glazings, which establish a strong visual connection with the green terrace.
The house can be convertible due to the “open-space” interior and modular pieces of furniture.
Energy efficiency is obtained thanks to the integration of passive strategies and automated active systems, that are controlled through a voice asisstant.
