SPECIFIC
Irina Neacsu is a designer with a great passion for art, especially for the thin border in between contemporary and classical. Her workshop, Irina Neacsu Studio, offers creative solutions for interiors, starting from design and moving towards the decorative area of upholstery, or towards the conceptual one of graphics and illustration. All applied art collections that Irina creates have as main starting point her illustrations and drawings which generate a whole cognitive and emotional universe.

ROMANIAN DESIGN WEEK APPEARANCES
2017 // Afterlife
”Afterlife” is an experiment on emotion and memory activation in the particular junction point of love and destruction.
The first Afterlife project is”The Mechanics of the Heart. Afterlife”, the rereading and transformation of the book ”The Mechanics of the Heart”, by Mathias Malzieu, in a personal book, as a witness of all the emotions experienced on reading and the transformation through destruction of the book. In between exaltation and pain, this is the gesture of translation of the object-book into an object-emotion, gesture that works as a creative force for the more ample conceptualization of the experience of reading, of the relation with object, and of the metaphysical acceptation of destruction as transformation.
