A series of debates will be started in which we will see what are the advantages/disadvantages of local design (product design, interior, jewelry, architecture). Conceptual Lab people believe in the power of local resources, so they want to see to what extent, can we have an international brand like "Made in RO" or maybe "Designed in Romania, Assambled in...(Romania)?!". Why not!
While the IT industry grows and we see an increase in a variety of software and hardware products, can we say the same thing abot the "design industry", or if there is such a thing as an industry. If so, how it looks, who are the ones who create at midnight, alone or in multidisciplinary teams.
Is Romania strong enough to send some local design brands and send them in the international market? This is the question you should all think about, and join the one of a kind event for professionals, and soon to be creators of tomorrow.

Designed as a “laboratory of ideas”, Conceptual Lab is the place to be for creators and enthusiasts. It’s the place where creative people meet to discuss their best ideas. The place where a real community is about to be born. The “lab” hosts regular events, in which people explore the amazing diversity of today’s cultural landscape.
Conceptual Lab is a project launched by Asociația Identitate Culturală Contemporană (AICC), a Bucharest-based NGO that develops cultural projects meant to offer accurate and relevant information regarding Romania.
